BIG difference is Swinney is an established coaching star. Brohm is still in the process and a ways to go.
NEWS FLASH.... If Dabo left Clemson for 'Bama (and then fails) ............ Clemson would not even consider taking him back.

      .........OhhKay...........

      Who said they would?
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

I guess I should clarify. I am not at all concerned about Jeff Brohm the COACH. It is going to take a while for him to put out the dumpster fire that is UofL football. I am concerned about Jeff Brohm the RECRUITER.. We currently have four or five highly regarded in state kids that are either committed or leaning to UK. I think most if not all of those would be at risk if Brohm goes to Louisville.

Apparently UofL wanted a hometown discount and couldn't match what Purdue was willing to give. Petrino's buyout must have played a role in that. Seems like he is staying at Purdue.

Reportedly, their backup plan is App State's Satterfield.

If Brohm continues to elevate Purdue to even better heights his value will llikely outgrow UL. But more likely is that Purdue will remain middle of the pack in the Big 10, UL will suffer through a few rebuilding years under some poor (Kragthorpe-like) sap and then bring Brohm back home when they can afford him.

With Georgia Tech opening up, as well as Texas Tech, Louisville may struggle.

Bunches of jobs open up every year. Many of which are as good or better opportunities than UL in average times. Seems to me most all of 'em would be better than UL right now.

Could see Neal Brown taking that Texas Tech job.

I have also heard Neal Brown to Texas Tech.

Here is the deal with Brohm. The speculation is that, quite frankly, he has his sites set higher. If it were strictly Purdue vs UofL, he would likely have bailed and gone to UofL. The problem with that move is that, for Brohm, UofL would pretty much be a destination job. It would be awkward for him to ever leave UofL. Supposedly, notre dame (yuk!!) is his dream job. Maybe in a few years, Kelly retires. If so, it would be easier to then leave Purdue than to leave hometown Louisville. Or, perhaps an SEC job opens up. Staying at Purdue AT THIS TIME simply gives him more flexibility should other opportunities arise in the future.

I saw, on Twitter, that Trinity is closed today because of a threat made on the school.
