I just read on KSR that Williams is wanting out of Miami.
VM stated some decommits from 17 and 18 we're expressing regret not being in a special season.
Williams would be available in 2020.

With all of the nonsense him and his dad pulled I wish we would tell him he's welcome with open arms and when he gets to campus with all of his bags we tell him we gave away his scholarship. I wouldn't do him that way, but I don't especially want him to come. He sounds as if he might be a problem to me. If I remember correctly, he said Miami was his dream school. He went down there and didn't get to start as a Fr., so instead of buckling down and trying again this coming season he throws in the towel and transfers. It seems if Miami was really his dream school, he would have put forth more effort to have made a go of it there. This is just my opinion, of course.

Unless Hoak decides to transfer, we have Wilson and him for two more years. If Williams decides to come here, they would both be Seniors his first season of eligibility. Then there's Sophs. to be Langhi and Walker Wood, plus we signed two more QB's today.

Wilson will be a Jr next year. Williams will be a sophomore and could redshirt next year. You can never project as if QBs will stay in the program 4-5 yrs and/or stay healthy. If a QB talent like Williams wants to come to UK you take him.

Right, I meant to say the next.

The point is Terry being here has very little effect on Williams' future. Hoak is also a non factor. As is Walker Wood. So you have Skalzo, who just tore his ACL, and Gilmore. Gilmore is really the only guy who will be competing with Williams.

The one caveat is, you never know what Williams will ultimately do, and how long he'll stay. So, we in no way will have a QB room that will be too crowded. Injuries happen, transfers happen, you can never have too much talent IMO.

I seriously think some people just dislike Matt Jones and criticize him irrespective of what he actually says or does. This thread is exhibit A.
