Matt Jones mentions we'll be getting a "high profile transfer"

A caller (maybe someone on this site) finally made Matt talk about it and Matt pretty much said a high profile transfer is almost certain to be coming, but refused to give much of a clue to who it is. The caller asked if it was Bryant and Matt obviously refused to say anything more detailed about it. So, we'll see....

It was right at the end of the show.

I'm not saying that's the case this time, but I think there are times when Matt just throws stuff against the wall to see if it will stick. If he's right, he looks like a genius for having scooped the big boys. If he's wrong, people will forget about it in a few days and move on.

I haven't found any information that would suggest Kentucky as a landing spot for Kelly Bryant. He cancelled a trip to Miami. He reportedly will visit, if he goes through with it, Arkansas, Mizzou, and Ole Miss. I'm certain if he has visited here. even unofficially, he would have been seen. (I checked the Clemson site. They've had at least 4 highly rated QB's transfer in the last couple - three years.) I don't know if anyone here has a connection with him. I haven't seen Matt throw stuff out just to throw it out. Others might. Then again, I just may not have been paying close attention.

He seems pretty certain about it. He said it will happen when school is out for the break.... I have a hard time believing it's Bryant as well. Crazy I haven't seen anybody else mention anything about a potential tranfer We'll see in a few weeks.

IMO there's zero chance it's Bryant. He has never even been mentioned with UK that I know of. I think it's typical Jones exaggerating a little to get some clicks. We might be getting a transfer but I don't think it's as high profile as he is making it up to be.

He is just not as much into football as basketball...and you can tell.

This is probably accurate. Matt does oversell and overhype regularly. Perfect recipe for a politician lol.

No news here, but after last night’s UofL game, I am more convinced than ever that, despite his W-L record, we do not really need Kelly Bryant. I will continue to hold out hope for a defensive guy.

This isn't about "hits" or anything like that. He hasn't put it on the internet. There will be a "high profile" transfer, however Matt is defining that is up to him. He said it is close to certain to happen, we'll see who it is when it happens.

Matt again triples down and says we will get a high profile transfer "we all know". But he also says only one person who has written him has guessed it......so, no way it's Bryant..... Not sure how high profile this guy can be....
