Matt Jones mentions we'll be getting a "high profile transfer"

Matt, in his Free Money podcast with Drew, mentioned that we will be getting a high profile transfer. He brought it up as they were talking about Clemson's game this weekend, so I assume he is referring to Kelly Bryant....even though I know Bryant hasn't mentioned UK as a possibility....

He said it like it was already done and will be happening soon. He did not say anything else, but said they'd talk about it later. Anybody heard anything about this? Any other "high profile transfers" he could be talking about??

If this happens, there's liable to be an exodus of QB's from UK.

I'm sure Bryant is better than any of them. Then so be it if they feel they can't compete.

Most say he's going to Arkansas I believe. Not sure if anyone has mentioned UK. Matt may have been talking about someone else but I don't know who else is high profile out there.

I thought it could be a running back.
when kids are transferring, y'all's guess is good as mine where they land.

Frankly, I hope it is not Bryant. I think that would be very risky in terms of team chemistry. And, I hope it is not a running back. I think Rose will be a star. And, I think we have positions of greater need than either of those two. Our defense willl be decimated by graduation, and we have been missing a dynamic play-maker on offense ever since Randall Cobb left for the NFL.

Still, I hope that whoever it is, he can help us — a lot!

I am not sure an dynamic offensive plymaker can change this offense with the state it is in now.

Why is that Dawson, Brown and Gran had dynamic offenses before they came here? Why did they wither here? Why did Brown's and Dawson's offenses take off when they left here? Why is Gran floundering now? You can't bring in guys with high powered gameplans to run a ball controlled ground game. Does Stoops have too much control over the calls?

You hope it's not a QB who went 16-2 as a starter and led Clemson to the national title game??? Ha, ok man..if you say so.

However, it's not going to be Bryant. He set a decision date of December 4th and said his finalists are UNC, Mizzou, Arkansas, Auburn, and Miami.

Wasn't there a running back from Michigan that had announced early on he was transferring?

Defenses are better and yes, Stoops has control, as he should.

A good offense will make a good defense a lot better!!!

There is a lineman from Michigan who is transferring. He was supposedly a former UK commit. And, I read elsewhere that there is a rumor that Xavier Peters was at the Cat Walk today. But, I am not sure I would call either of these “high profile,” and I do not think either would be eligible next year.

I'm really not sure and need someone to update me with the new redshirt rule....if Peters, for example, has played less than four games would he still have to sit another year?

Yes. Then he would have three to play three or three to play four which is meaningless.
