If Stoops does change things up then it will probably be the result of studying the videos of the last two games. I'm sure the tapes have been broken down every way possible. I assume, which is never a good thing, that we're taking about change at QB and receiver.

No. I think a few know-nothing fans has had the same feelings Stoops has.

I imagine the plays in overtime against aTm (even though they have a marvelous defense) as well as some of the things he saw reviewing Vanderbilt figure in to this.

Wilson has to grow as a quarterback. This call may be what makes it click for him.

I hope it does. Kid gives a great interview and has great physical tools. Just needs it to come together.

He is very likeable and has the tools to be the future here. I hope he gets there. Can you imagine Terry as a good passer to go along with those legs? Could be a dynamite player but right now he's got to figure it out between the ears.

On the plus side, before the season if you told me we'd be 6-1 and 12th ranked with a question mark at qb I would've said you were crazy. I would've lost the farm.

Well, that is quite a different statement than "The white noise carrying weight".

Coach hears the fan noise...it really got under his skin last year....the repeated comments 'Im not gonna make excuses for ...x... Number of wins'.
BUT....I truly believe this is a different gig. He KNOWS he has a once in years defense, and he wants those wins to go with it. He's going to do what he thinks is best for the PROGRAM to succeed....

Whether us arm chair gurus like me agree or not.
It's what he gets paid for, and I'm tickled he is showing the stones to even think about a different quarterback. Other coaches have done this for years.....Stoops is joining the party.

If it works.....it can be a BIG lift. If not, we are no worse off.

I thought that's what the white noise was you were referring to. Was there an ACTUAL petition? If so then that was pretty ridiculous.

I don't know if Stoops pays attention to that stuff or not. But I think it is fairly obvious we have to have some sort of passing game to have that really special season. Sure it has been great so far but more turnovers than TDs won't work against Mizzou or most definitely Georgia.

I really want Terry to succeed but we can't keep running Benny into the ground. Just my opinion on the matter.

Perhaps it was another thread, but I describe it quite plainly as people who think they know more about the qb situation than the staff who also do dumb stuff like circulating online petitions about who should play.

It’s fair to question if it is time to make a change at qb, it’s nonsense to think a fan knows more than staff or should leverage social media to affect the decision making process.
