    UK-Miss. St. Game Prediction Thread

As usual I make predictions with my head and not my heart. My head says MSU by a score of 28-21.

Fitzgerald scares me. I am however more positive about this game than I was Florida, even though Mississippi St. is a better team. With Florida we were coming off a very uneven showing; this time we appear to be healthy, we've got them at home, and the game has the potential to kick open the door for what could be a historic season. Kentucky almost always loses games like this, usually in heartbreaking fashion. I'm saying we get this one.

    Shock the world.

MSU's QB is really good. He's the type that has always gave UK problems. It will take a titanic effort for UK win. They will get that but still come up a little short in the end. I hope I"m wrong as I would like see one more great football season for UK before my life is done. Not quite sure they are there yet.

The game is Saturday evening at 7 pm and will be televised by ESPN2.

We do better when I'm pessimistic. Also think Mississippi State is really good.

I think MSU is good. I also think they have yet to play anyone. If we limit turnovers and the O line comes to play...

Here we go again. The picks are 50 - 50 right now. If Johnson could outplay Lamar then I'm confident Terry can outplay Nick. Just don't go completely overboard when he does. Kentucky 38, Miss State 27. Beating Kansas State "don't impress me much." I also think Florida is a much better team than they are given credit for right now. We've been tested in the swamp. The cowbell boys haven't, yet.

I don't know what kind of passer State's QB is. Most of what I've read and heard seems to indicate he likes to run up the middle a lot. If that's all he's got, he doesn't worry me all that much. I'd say Kash and Jordan Jones will pretty much shut that down. I'm more worried about how our off. will perform against their def.

I think so far he is passing at about 68 percent. Fitzgerald is a bulldozer of a runner.
the two teams are eerily similar offensively. A fine running back, a powerful offensive line and a true threat to run forever quarterback.

Was hoping to see a tailgate sticky for this game. I will be there really early and was hoping to see some of the Wildcat Nation again.

Don't worry, Papaw Ricky will have it together soon, and they will be there early.

Let's go back to just before the season. Which game did you fear most - Florida or MSU?

If we at least break even on turnovers, UK 26 MSU 23.
