Bottom line is that nothing will happen to that official and Kentucky may even have him officiating another game that he is in charge of, should he get assigned to a bowl that has UK as one of the teams.
The only way there will ever be serious conversation is if one of the teams in the championship game gets hosed by a awful call and they lose. The official still won't face any action and nothing will change, but the sports media guys will yap about it for a month and we will be back to status quo on the officials again.Comment

The most blatant one sided calling I have ever wtinesssed was at a UK home football game against Tenn. It was in the early to mid 80s, I believe. The calls were so blatantly crooked, the officials had to have a police escort, when they left the game. Nothing happened to them, then. Nothing happens now.
If you are aware of an official being suspended for calling terrible calls against Kentucky, name the game and the official and we will look it up. That football games was fixed against UT on that day.. You can call BS all you want. I was there. I saw the UK player pick up the fumbled ball two yards inside the line and the official standing there called it out. There was another blatantly bad call in that game. One took away a TD, not sure about the other call. The fix was in. What happened? Nothing.Comment

I like the thought of oversight in ejections.
what is really bothersome is you have an ejection with Bennie Snell coming close to holding hands with the official, but Mark Richt (who I really admire)
Grabbing an official with a biceps clamp and pulling him around.....and nothing.

Somebody sure seems to have an ego just like the official that kicked Snell out of the game. Saying I am wrong but your proof is a secret.Comment

Thanks to the internet, we want to know everything about everybody....as long as we keep our own privacy.
if bad calls, poor officiating we're NOT addressed in some fashion...and normally behind closed doors....the games we enjoy would be more catastrophic today than they are.
The truth is that Mr Coyte will be under scrutiny the next year for every call or non call he makes, whether as a PAC12 official or 'guest'.
If nothing else, his referee life will be less comfortable.
As for proof.......lololololol....that's never, ever, ever gonna happen.👍 1Comment

A ruler across the knuckles in private is not punishment. There is no recourse for teams that have been wronged by officials.
He will will get his innprivate? What the hell kind of system is that? You are telling me that officials are so revered that they can not be held up as deficient in the public eye and suffer consequences for their agregious actions. If that is truly the case, it is no wonder the official threw Snell out of the game for hurting his pride. Can’t blame officials for taking bribes or secretly betting on games that they call, because they operate behind a cloak of immunity. When anyone calls an official out, he claims that he is the victim, not those hat he has wronged.
When officials are as large or larger than the game they are hired to work, there is a problem. That was the case with the UK bowl game. It is not a good system.Comment

Thank you for the compliment. It is much appreciated. Although, I am willing to bet that if I were an official, I would not receive this public rebuke. Instead, I would get a double secret probation, behind closed doors.Comment
