What's next for Kentucky football? Watch for staff changes, the NFL draft and transfe

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky football’s 2017 season may be finished, but the news around the Wildcats’ program likely is not.
Here is a look at what storylines fans should watch between now and spring practice.
    1. NFL draft decisions
UK already received some good news when injured junior tight end C.J. Conrad decided to return to school for his senior season, but there are more NFL draft decisions still pending.
Outside linebacker Josh Allen and safety Mike Edwards both said after the Music City Bowl that they planned to sit down with family members and UK coaches soon to make a decision about their futures.
With some reports suggesting Allen might work his way into the first round, he seems the most likely departure.
But Edwards has not shied away from the possibility of forgoing his senior season either. Getting either player back would be a major boost for the Wildcats’ 2018 defense.

Was that started by the same person that said Stoops was being considered by FSU?

IMO, going to LSU would not be a good idea AT THIS TIME. LSU is obviously a big-time program, but they had a couple of truly embarrassing losses this past year, including their bowl-game clunker. Everybody loves Ed Ogeron, but LSU has higher aspirations than he has been able to fulfill. His tenure there could be a tenuous one right now so I am not sure that linking oneself to his position is a smart move.

The other line in the article that caught my attention was the presumption that Barker is the favorite to win the QB job. That, again IMO, is merely being polite.

Why should anyone on Stoops's staff leave when they get an extension, when they win 7 games. But seriously, am I the only that thinks after the numbers that UK posted this season, that any rumor of the OC getting offered a job at a more storied program is a complete fabrication?

Personally, I hope our Coaching Staff stays in place. We have some semblance of them working together and having to hire another OC at this point might set us back some no matter who we get.

I think keeping staff intact will aid Snell next year rather than incur a new offensive scheme, especially being he likely will not be around for a Senior season.
