I read that he instigated the fight but I am sure the truth will come out....not his first incident with UK..he apparently threw bottles at Nerlens Noel's car in 2013

I am sure there are camera's in those bars

More information from the police. http://www.kentucky.com/2015/01/28/3...tion.html?rh=1

Is this part is true, there will be MAJOR trouble:

"The complainant reported that he was at Jerzee's, 122 E. Main Street, at approximately 12:30 A.M. when he was grabbed by three to four males who began hitting the complainant repeatedly in the head.

JFCats22 writes: "At the very least they are underage, drinking in a bar and got in a fight. Even if they did not start it they should never have been there."

BINGO!!! It doesn't matter who started it or who said what or what the victim did in the past or any of that stuff. What were these kids doing in a bar at 2:45 am? And, don't ask if I ever used a fake ID or drank when I was underage. I was not a QB on an SEC football team, either.

All this talk of Richmond and bars makes me miss it on a Thursday night. I miss the dog. I went from Haggin hell to Columbia and Rose and spent my final year in Richmond off the bypass.

^ I know that's a joke, but it won't be funny in hindsight when/if Stoops comes up short in bringing us out of the category of "perennial cesspool".

His biggest recruit and face of the "Why Not" movement has now been involved in two very bad and embarrassing situations within just a few months. Would Stoops think that joke is funny?

If you want to get serious about ever being able to call this an SEC program, as in a real one, then this isn't a time to laugh.

              I'm just sayin'.

As sad as it is, I had the same reaction when I heard about this yesterday.

Barker is officially ready for his Heisman run, I'd say.

I don't know how much RV and Will are being humorous, and how much they're being serious, but there's a lot of truth in what RV said. When I told my wife about it this morning, she said "coach Stoops and staff are finally getting some fb players in Lexington". She and I both agree that the meaner and more of an outlaw a player is, the better player he seems to be.

Those players are so helpful when they're suspended or serving charges for assault.....

If that what it takes, beating up people in a bar, to be successful I would rather not be. If what is being reported is true and those guys were involved they will have lot more to worry about that than just losing a football scholarship.

The trick is to keep them on the field, no matter what. U of L and UT seem to be experts at this. At least UT used to be. Things seem to be a lot quieter since Butch became coach down there.

I'm being humorous, but there's definitely truth to what RV says.

The number of suspensions and legal issues surrounding these programs when they roll into Commonwealth always amaze me. But it never matters, because those teams have three or four guys who are just like the one who got suspended.

^ He says as our recruiting class is losing SEC caliber players.

If we don't keep what we "had" and win enough to continue bringing in those players, you'll never get to have a clue as to what it feels like to have 3-4 guys.

As I've said before, the 2007 season should have taught us what depth actually means and in order to build it, you must recruit with the SEC and do it every year.

Program building can become fragile, too. We're teetering toward that line right now.

That is exactly why I am always in the camp of "wait and see" instead of the camp of " I heard the rumor so it must be true". I will wait until signing day, before I get sideways with the staffs effort to rebuild the team. No matter the ranking, I refuse to be in the "all is lost and were in the crapper" camp. I am still amazed at the people who gasped at the bb gun incident. Thank God that I have never been in serious trouble growing up. I can imagine that if I had and had any of the negative posters on my jury, I would be found guilty before the first piece of evidence was presented. I can see one of those people who have never jaywalked or been late with a library book being the foreman of the jury. The said person would stand up and tell the judge that they already had their vote of guilty and the trial would be a waste of time.

By the way, I am still mad that Joker kicked his starting QB off the team and lost the bowl game, That stupid decision by the coach was the beginning of the end for his tenure. The amount of intolerance by some people amazes me. Just think that if every minor thing that happened to you, a family member, or a friend was dealt with by a severe and unjustified punishment. Wouldn't life be much easier?
