I don't get caught up with which Coach stays or goes, that's CS's job. Because he is a defensive minded Coach, I'm sure CS recognizes the problem and will decide what needs to be done. One thing's for sure, we need immediate help in several areas and especially on Defense. If I were CS, I would be looking at Juco's because they have some experience and should be stronger than Freshmen coming in. But, I don't have a say.

No but maybe he can get players that can make plays in the secondary.

The players we have in the secondary are ones that the coaching staff praised to the roof.
either they peaked out as high school juniors
Or the coaches were entirely mistaken about them
Or the coaches aren't able to coach them.
We did not go against all Americans every week.
So perhaps we do need a defensive change.

No smartie, he cant make plays but like Bill said above, he can sure coach the players that this staff recruited because this staff aint getting it done. is this staff really good at evaluating talent? i have my doubts now. But i sure would give Bud a try because young guys like House with no real good experience are going to cost Stoops his job.

I get it, but these kinds of requests remind me of UT fans thinking that they are going to get Gruden. Why would he leave VT to come here?

Actually, Tech to here wouldn't be a monstrous step down. SEC does carry perks, even though the ACC is threatening to catch, pass and run away from the SEC.
it would be a bump for Shannon, who will likely make more in buyout than UK would pay.

....If letting UL score on every possession--often quickly with no residence--is fine because Jackson is good then our team is not going to progress any farther.

We were consistently no where near their receivers. Presumably that's because we were keyed in on Jackson and Bonafon running the ball. We hardly slowed them down either. BC and NC St. didn't make them look like the Patriots.

Not saying we should have won either game--especially UGA game. But pretending that wasn't ugly defense isn't objective and I'd like to see improvement. The problem wasn't so much we couldn't tackle "anyone" but we could touch "anyone" till well down field.

Broken at that point because of a lack of depth.

Right now I want 4-5 3.5 star DTs for depth. One 5 star wouldn't fix it. On roster we have Bohanna and whomever wasn't good enough to beat Elam and Pringle out and redshirted.

BINGO! I'd buy season tickets tomorrow if UK brought on Bud or Don Brown at Michigan. They DEFINE defense.

Maybe we have all this ass backwards. What if..........UK hires a super top D.C. and O.C. for $2 Million each, and the Head Coach for $2.5 Million? Perhaps we have our priorities messed up.
