This is the way Gran should have been calling games. The TEs are getting touches, Bowden getting opportunities and in the wildcat, Johnson having more options to run, and mixing up the tempo. That was a BEAUTIFULLY called first half. Also, outside of their RB making Randolph miss our secondary does a good job on those one on one tackles on the screens. Our young receivers have made some plays. Opening it up like this only makes the run easier.

I agree. In my opinion, this may very well be the best half of fb coach Gran has called since he's been here.

4 straight 3 and outs. Plays have been 1st and 2nd down runs and 3rd down pass calls. Way to make them think about it Gran.

With what we've been getting on 1st and 2nd down, don't you think a pass play would be necessary on 3rd?

Maybe an over the middle to the TE would work on 1st down.
