Really good article about this years football team. How we view it and how should we view it. One stat to me was very interesting. They are 5-2 and yet have been outscored this season. Of course 45-7 games will make that happen quickly.

Several good things are happening for UK football. Consider these facts. Our Cats are bowl eligible for the second year in a row, currently 6-2 this season, 13-6 in their last 19 games, 7-5 in their last 12 SEC games, 7-1 in the last 8 close games (decided by touchdown or less) and 9-2 in their last 11 home games. There are reasons to think UK football is in a better place and isn't the same program it used to be. -

Am I the only Kentucky fan that is wondering when UK will be on a level playing field, when it comes to officials? Or, am I just paranoid? I get the fact that the Cats had 4 fumbles and maybe should have been only 3. But why is one team allowed to hold all game and the officials look the other way? Do they ever have to answer for their actions? Or are they like supreme court judges, where they are above rebuke?Comment

It might help you understand the officials if you also watch what UK gets away with. On several plays, UK held with no flag and on two occasions our DB's got away with grabbing a UT jersey during a pass play. The officials are certainly not perfect, but they had no direct influence on the outcome of the game.👍 2Comment

I am assuming the Florida reference is to the hold on Haynes. That happened right in the middle of the field in clear view of everyone and was very clearly a holding penalty. One that you just can't do. And also one that has to be called. If it were not called then the Florida fans should be saying "why do they get by with that?"Comment

Probably so. But let's be honest. How many plays could there not be a hold called on? Difference is when it's on the line there are 10-12 bodies so a lot of them get missed. When you are away from the line and in plain view it will get called most every time.Comment

I was at the UT game. The almost miss on the first Pass Interference would have been horrible. But, that was corrected by another official. After that, no complaints. UT lost their first TD on a penalty that occurred behind and away from the play. They lost a first and goal at the 1 on an illegal procedure penalty. Without those two calls against UT, we would have been in serious trouble.Comment

This board is actually really sound and stable about the team.
there are some sites that have a LOT of posters that expect Alabama results NOW.
Truth is Saban did it at LSU but not MSU. Alabama but not in the pros.
Alabama and LSU had some winning tradition
We didn't.
This program of ours isn't rebuilding. It's really finally after all these years starting.
I hope.👍 6Comment
