If you live close to the JTown/Fern Creek area in metro Louisville and could stand my dirty bird hubby, you would be invited whenever. Love to cook. Not a fancy one by any means. Being retired is allowing me to cook a lot. Love it!!! BTW, did not have the protein shake for lunch. Instead fixed a salad with fresh mozz cheese, a slice of smoked gouda and artichokes. Olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing.

" Instead fixed a salad with fresh mozz cheese, a slice of smoked gouda and artichokes. Olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing. " OK, stop right there..you're killing me!!!! I use Evoo and red wine balsamic vinegar exclusively for a salad dressing. When in Rome.......The vinegar comes from Italy, aged 18 years, in barrels. If you're ever in Crescent Hill, the shop is called Primo Oils and Vinegars on Brownsboro next to the golf course. They have booths in many of the local farmer's markets which is where a dear friend of mine found them. I stopped buying olive oil from the EU because of food fraud. Found out that LOTS of companies buy hazel nut oil from Turkey and use it to "cut" real olive oil. That's a no no in my book. I now use California Olive Ranch(Kroger). Same color, aroma, and flavor as what I had been getting. https://californiaoliveranch.com/

I love garden fresh stuff, just seems more flavorful. I love doing alot of homemade stuff more than I do using box or packaged stuff.

I go to an oil and vinegar store in Middletown. The 1st one I went to was in Bardstown. Very expensive, but sooooo good. Right now I have a bottle of orange flavored oil and a sample bottle of mesquite smoked oil. They also sell flavored salts.

When we were in Napa and Sonoma this summer, there were numerous olive ranches that provided olive oil tastings. We didn't stop in, but it was interesting to see how prevalent (relatively) they were,
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.
