Reds keeping Pace with the Mets, Just one game behind them for the last WC spot. Continuing to pull some games out of their rear end, but Thanking the heavens the got rid of Bell and hired Francona though. Finally somebody who knows what the heck they're doing and doesn't pull a pitcher after 5 innings every game.
Marte has been a HUGE bright spot, especially since coming back from his injury. He's finally showing what was always expected of him. People thought he was done for last year after his suspension and very lacluster play, but he really turned things around. He's a future All-Star if he can continue this. The Andujar pick-up at the deadline was fantastic as well. They need to find a way to sign him for a longer term after the season. Can't wait to see what Sal Stewart brings to the table as well. Kid can rake and he's only 21. Should be a September call-up.
