I think I’ve seen a few familiar account names pop up over here, but not sure how many so far. I think folks are gradually migrating. I posed my original question to see if a political thread would be acceptable. Hopefully such a platform can be accommodated for those who prefer to participate in such discussion.

A few years back, ISIS waged a nationwide hacking campaign that swept up numerous random sites, and we were one of them. We logged in one evening and found our site replaced by a black page with a billowing ISIS flag over middle eastern text. Took a couple days or so to get things back up and running, and when we did we discovered that we'd lost all our threads and all our members. We had people trying to return, but for every real person there were about a hundred or more bots flooding our server. It was a disaster, and we lost a lot of good threads and great members as a result. To be honest, we never fully recovered, and for a long time it's just been a handful of us old faithful's hanging around here doing our thing. It's why we're so excited by the activity of the last 24 hours or so.
