Thanks to all the Admins and Mods for the warm welcoming thread to all of us escaping Rivals. I wanted to humbly inquire whether it is acceptable within this site's rules to create a political discussion thread within the General Discussion forum to accommodate those who wish to engage in political banter and keep up with current world events? Thanks for your guidance and insight.

There already is a political discussion forum. It’s just hidden. A mod can grant access to interested parties. In recent years it’s one of the most civil political boards I’ve seen. Challenging and tolerant generally.
