For such a hot, dry place, Texas can sure have some floods. Grappling with the impact of the latest one in the Hill Country. My daughter and her friends went to summer camp every year near or at the camp where so many lives were lost, Camp Mystic. 😞

It is so devastating to see the pictures and videos of this flooding

GOD bless those who have lost loved ones

Are you anywhere near the flooding?

Thanks for asking, matt. The closest flooding I know of begins about 20-30 miles from my house. The Guadalupe River flash flood area is about 2 hours away. I’m sure we have some areas prone to flooding here in Travis County, but I know where those areas are, from the 1981 flood. I got out yesterday to run an errand and avoided them. It’s starting to rain again. Sure feel bad for folks in flood-prone areas. I’m on the edge of the Hill Country and while that was disastrous during the winter storm, it’s not bad now.

That hits way too close to home.

              Stay safe, capcat.

Love San Antonio. We spent many weekend vacations there when the kids were little. My favorite thing to do was stay at the Menger and go to the Riverwalk.
