matt, someday I’m going to have to ask you how to get to Auxier Ridge. I know it’s named after the place, but my family were Auxiers.

      Outstanding, Matt
Extremism is so easy. You've got your position, and that's it. It doesn't take much thought. And when you go far enough to the right you meet the same idiots coming around from the left.

        It’s an easy ~ 2 mile walk.

The gorge is what got me into the outdoors. I remember being at UK and a buddy posted he was going on a hike and I tagged along. Auxier Ridge got me hooked and that led to eventually moving out to CO. I try to get out once a week. This was the past weekend with the dog.

My wife and I I were out in CO a couple of weeks ago. We love going out there but now I remember why we usually wait until late September. RMNP was packed with people along with Estes Park. But we still enjoyed it. I got brownie points for taking my wife to see James Taylor at the Red Rocks amphitheater.

Yeah, RMNP (guess majority of NPs) are crazy busy during the summer months. Did you have to get a permit to get in? I haven’t been in a while, but remember they had some permit system to just get in the park post-Covid.

It’s hard to beat a show at Red Rocks, even with the pain of getting in and out of it.

Yes, we had to have a permit to get into the Bear Lake area and the permit was a 2 hour time window when we could get into that area. Once in, we could stay all day in that area.

The Auxier Ridge loop is easy to get to and a very beautiful 5 mile loop. Other than the fact that it gets crowded, it's one of my favorite routes in RRG. It's just at the end of Tunnel Ridge Rd which you can get on from near the Mountain Parkway. You just need to exit at Slade and take Campton Rd. to Tunnel Ridge. If you search it on Google Maps, you'll find it.

I don't think I ever sat, but I've been there many times.

Nice!! In September 2019 I drove out to Telluride / Ouray area, it was incredible. I timed it out well for the fall colors there.

                              Nice photos!

Have any of you hiked Mount Rogers, in Virginia?

Man, go where you wanna go while you can. I didn’t, and have lost a significant amount of mobility since then. 5 miles would be like running a marathon.
