Went down to the Breaks Interstate Park today. There were a few people there but not overcrowded, had lunch at their restaurant and they had outdoor seating available with a decent view. I would recommend it if you happened to be in the general area.👍 1Comment

Hiked Pinch-em-tight to Rough Trail to Hanson's Point last weekend. The nice weather brought everyone out. I have never seen the Gorge that crowded. Tunnel Ridge Road was a madhouse. It didn't bum me out though because that was a great hike with the best views in the Gorge that I have seen yet.Isaiah 5:20👍 2Comment

Nice Matt. I'm betting it wasn't too crowded. Winter is my favorite time to go there.Isaiah 5:20Comment

I went to Natural Bridge only, and met a nice couple there. They described how on their last trip 15 years ago their 4 yo son almost fell off of the NB, but he tripped on a root, fell, and then older brother promptly jumped on him to keep him from moving any closer. Also there were two people probably a good 15 minutes behind me.
I had never gone past the sky lift and around the ridge there, so went to "lookout point" and "lover's leap" for the first time. Also took a glance at "Devil's Gulch" and went down the "needle's eye". Last week I was planning on a trip there for about three days to see a few new places and also go back out on Star Gap, but due to the ice storm I decided against it. That was smart as today I nearly fell twice and then slid down the rock at Needle's Eye. The rocks were iced over so I scooted down on my butt, then went down the muddy side of the bank.
Let's just say I can't "run down the bank" as quickly as I used to and I almost tripped, which would have sent me rolling down.
Had quick lunch at Miguel's...by myself. They have remodeled FWIW.Last edited by DA#23; 02-09-2021, 07:39 PM.👍 2Comment
