Unfortunately I have no pictures to share but that's okay, because the pictures don't do this place justice. Probably the most beautiful place I've been in the outdoors, and the only thing that would rival it is the Redwood Forest. The most beautiful part is Triple Falls, which is an extraordinary waterfall that sort of slants instead of falls straight down, which gives it a more majestic look.

We hiked past Triple Falls, made an error in judgment (my bad) and went about a mile away from the water, then came back to a covered bridge and walked down to another waterfall, called High Falls. High Falls was almost as nice as Triple Falls.

This is an incredible place and if you're ever in Asheville I highly recommend you take this hike. All in all we walked for a little under 3 miles, but half the hike was uphill so it isn't the easiest. But the views and scenery are absolutely worth it.
Asheville is great and I swear it's where I want to retire to. We rented an AirBnB cabin a little north of Asheville and stayed out in the boonies for a weekend, then spent the other 3 days in Asheville.

I'd love to live a little west of the city so I could easily make it to the Smokies in an hour or so.

I used to live and work seasonally in the Asheville area. (I actually lived in Cedar Mountain on a property that was adjacent to the DuPont State Forrest) I absolutely love that area.

McDougal Lake. It's 76 acres I believe. That lake had like 15 boats on it. It gets pressured a lot I would venture to say. I did catch a 12 inch crappie. I need a fish finder for my little boat!

Don't feel like jumping through hoops just to post a pic, but went gill fishing today and caught 43 between myself and my buddy. A few really big ones.

Putting a few photos on from RRG this morning, it received the first round of this storm coming through with very heavy rain as well as some thunder/lightning. It hit when I was about 5-7 miles from Slade and continued until I made it to the parking lot for Chimney Top and Princess Arch.

Love that area. So easy to get to and so beautiful.

Not sure, Matt. Is there a rotate feature on the "edit" portion of your post?

I haven't found it, I thought there used to be an option to manage uploads but I can't find it now.
