Need to stop enabling these people. An EMT on Wave3 a few weeks ago said be has revived one guy twenty times. And I am not in the camp that it is a disease. If you have a disease you personally can't change it yourself. That's what Docs and specialists are for. I have read stories of people who quit various drugs for good. If you want something bad enough you have the power to change your situation. Nothing anyone says about this will sway me. Disease? What an insult to those that really have one.

Personally I believe if a person is addicted to anything, they made a bad choice to begin using or drinking, but once they're addicted they don't have the strength to stop but need spiritual assistance to overcome it.

We had the same thing here in Cincinnati a few months back. The cause of the massive spike here was heroin laced with fentanyl in way too high of a quantity.

One of my oldest friends OD'd on heroin in Lexington a few years back. Died that night.
