Music is just good for the soul. Matt has renewed my interests in it, reminded me of artists, and introduced some new ones. I check this thread every morning.
If You Are Listening to Music...

When I was growing up (my teen years were the late 50's and early 60's) listening to music was a huge thing. There were tv shows that were dance and musically themed such as American Bandstand, it seemed as if just about every Sat. night there was a dance (sock hop) going on somewhere and one of the main things to do was to either sit parked at the local drive-in restaurant and listen to your car radio or go cruising around town doing the same. I did want to be a DJ, but I don't have a good radio voice. I don't know if you ever saw the movie American Graffiti or not. If you haven't you can find it on YouTube. That movie pretty much epitomizes my teen years. It's set in almost the same time frame. The seniors, in the movie, graduated in 1962 and I graduated in 1963.

I graduated in '66. Ditto to everything. Your teen years sound a whole lot like mine except I never wanted to be a DJ

After I made that post, I got to thinking about taking dates to one of the local drive-in restaurants or the passion pit (drive-in theatre). Dad and mom letting me spend virtually all my earnings on my car and girls because I did so much for them (which I would have done anyway). If I may borrow a line from Archie Bunker, "those were the days".Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment

It brought back memories for me as well Catgrad. Memories of Christmases long ago when times were much more simple, carefree and happy.Philippians 4:11-4:13Comment
