Sports media is trying desperately to make this particular 'Decision' monumental when anyone with half a brain knows it's not. LBJ is still a very effective player but he's not The Man any longer. If the team he ends up selecting allows him to dominate the ball and the scheme, I would bet they will be unhappy with the result. LeBron, at this point, needs to be the 2nd or 3rd option for a team and he'd be a TERRIFIC 2nd or 3rd option who could also be an effective distributor when the defense rotates to him. But any team that willingly shells out $40+M to land LeBron who is clearly diminished from his arguably GOAT best is taking a huge gamble, imo. When he's on the court, the other 4 typically have had to defer to him and, in many cases, change their game to allow LBJ to be LeBron. A 'nearly' championship team will not thrive with LBJ coming in and upsetting their apple cart, imo.
Plus, I'm pretty sick and tired of LBJ and his outside the court schtick. He should retire and concentrate on all his various business ventures and give his ego a rest.
