    Football Question # 4.

    Regulation play ends in a tie. Team A used all of its second half timeouts; Team B, only one. In the first overtime (HS) or extra period (NCAA):

    A. Each team will have one timeout at its disposal.
    B. Team A will have no timeouts at its disposal; team B, two.
    C. Team A will have one timeout at its disposal; Team B, three.
    D. Each team will have two timeouts at its disposal.

                The correct answer to question # 4,

                is A for all levels.

                RULE 3 Periods, Time Factors and Substitutions.

                SECTION 1. Start of Each Period.


                Extra Periods.
                ARTICLE 3. The NCAA tiebreaker system will be used when a game is tied after four periods. NCAA football-playing rules apply, with the following exceptions:
                h. Timeouts: Each team shall be allowed one timeout for each extra period. (Rule 3-3-7) Timeouts not used during the regulation periods may not be carried over into the extra period(s). Unused extra-period timeouts may not be carried over to other extra periods. Timeouts between periods shall be charged to the succeeding period.
