    Football Question # 12.

Team A's ball, third and goal at team B's three yardline. A1 fumbles the ball at team B's two yardline and the ball rolls into the end zone. B2 recovers the ball in the end zone and tries to advance, but is tackled with the nose of the ball in the field of play and the back of the ball still in the end zone. During B2's run, B3 clipped A4 at team B's six yardline.

    A. Safety; team A scores two points.
    B. After enforcement it will be team B's ball, first and ten from its own ten yardline.
    C. After enforcement it will be team B's ball, first and ten from its own three yardline.

None of the above. Team B's ball, with only a sliver of the nose outside the endzone.

First, none of the above was not an option. Now on to the correct answer.

The correct answer to question # 12,

            is C for all levels.

            RULE 8; Scoring,

            SECTION 6. Touchback
            When Declared
ARTICLE 1. It is a touchback when:
            a.
The ball becomes dead out of bounds behind a goal line, except from an incomplete forward pass, or becomes dead in the possession of a player on, above or behind his own goal line and the attacking team is responsible for the ball being there.

            RULE 10; Penalty Enforcement.

            SECTION 2. Enforcement Procedures.
Determining the Enforcement Spot and the Basic Spot
            ARTICLE 2.

            d. The following are basic spots for the various categories of plays:
            1. Running plays.
            (a) Previous spot, when the related run ends behind the neutral zone.

              from http://www.usffa.org/rulebook/r10.pdf

If afoul occurs during a running play, the basic enforcement spot is the spot where the run ends.
But this is more important than that, from the same link:

If a foul occurs during a loose ball, the basic penalty enforcement spot is the previous spot...
              I didn't know that.

Although, this complicates things if the recovering team becomes the offense at the point of recovery:

The only exception would be the a foul by the offense behind the basic spot, which would be enforced from the spot of the foul.
