    Football Question # 4.

Third and seven at team A's 23 yardline. A1's forward pass is intended for eligible A2 at team A's 35 yardline. B3 is flagged for defensive pass interference. Despite the interference, A2 makes the catch and carries the ball across team B's goalline.

    A. The penalty is declined by rule.
    B. First and 10 for team A at its own 38 yardline.
    C. Team A may choose to have the penalty enforced on either the try or the kickoff.

The correct answer to question # 4

is A for NCAA, and C for HS.

            RULE 10; Penalty Enforcement.

Fouls During Or After A Touchdown, Field Goal or Try:
            ARTICLE 5. a.
Fouls by the nonscoring team during a down that ends in a
            touchdown (not on the try).
            2. Penalties for all other fouls are not enforced on the try or the succeeding
kickoff. Such penalties are declined by rule unless enforcement is made
possible by illegal touching of a kick during the down
