Not sure who either side has left to pitch. But WVU pitching has been deep all year. Reason they are in the 40 win range and we are in the low 30s. Hope we pull it off. UCLA lost and the 3 or 4 seed out there won. If UK were to win tonight I think they will be hosting this coming weekend. Of course if WVU wins they know they will host the super. They both have motivation on this one. Could be a slug fest tonight.

Repetitive theme with this bunch. Awful bullpen. Couple weeks ago we had a 6-2 lead in the ninth. 2 outs. Struck a dude out. Game over, right? Nope. Strike 3 got by the catcher and runner reached first safely. Proceeded to allow 4 runs to tie it up and lost it in the tenth.
And as much blame as the bullpen deserves Mingione’s baserunning approach—he calls aggressive, I say it’s stupid—deserves just as much. No way he manufactured NEARLY as many runs as he threw away last his season in wasted base runners. Not just by failing to get hits with runners on, but by getting picked off and thrown out trying to advance. Looks like they’re taught to run till someone calls you out or you score a run. Tons were called out.Comment
