Ryan Schwartz announced his commitment to Kentucky late Tuesday night. The Cats were in the mix during his initial recruitment before he ultimately pledged his allegiance to Texas. He decommitted from the Longhorns following their offseason coaching change.
A 6-foot-3, 205-pound catcher from Indian Trail, North Carolina, he also pitched and played in the infield in high school. He’s got a solid arm, clocked at 83 mph, according to Perfect Game, who also had this to say about Schwartz.
