Georgia Downs 'Cats in Easter Doubleheader to Win Series

Happy Easter, friends. For the first time this season, Kentucky Baseball has failed to come out on top in a series.

After scoring seven unanswered runs to come back and take down the Bulldogs 7-4 on Friday, the ‘Cats fell behind early in both Sunday games and failed to capture that same magic. Georgia, who entered the weekend 1-9 in the SEC, grabbed two wins against the Albums ranked Wildcats. Not great.

With the loss, Kentucky falls to 9-3 in the SEC and now face a conference gauntlet. After Tuesday’s matchup at UK Women's Hoops Louisville, the ‘Cats travel to Baton Rouge for a huge matchup with the Home ranked team in the country LSU. Following that series, they’ll take on Xavier, Texas A&M (who just dropped out of the rankings) and Louisville at home before traveling to Nashville to face #4 Vanderbilt. These next two weeks are critical for Kentucky’s NCAA Tournament seeding.

Win or lose, I wonder why they had no games scheduled on Saturday and played a double header on Easter Sunday. GO CATS!!!

Pretty sure Saturday game was postponed to Sunday. Rained about all day

Georgia weather was a mess this past weekend. It played havoc with the Masters as well.

The losses knocked them out of the top 10. UL tomorrow

The game has been postponed indefinitely due to the shootings in the city.
