Kentucky softball used a trio of RBI doubles in the fourth inning to defeat Dayton 6-2 in a midweek matchup at John Cropp Stadium. Kentucky will the road to Louisville to play Bellarmine on Wednesday and then host Ole Miss over the weekend. Fourth Inning Frenzy
Peyton Plotts started off the game with a solo home run for Kentucky, her fifth of the year. This is a great sign for Plotts who had been struggling recently. She had been the offensive leader for the team all season, but had moved down in the lineup due to some poor performances lately.
Plotts scored the only run for Kentucky until the Cats’ huge fourth inning. She added a 2 RBI double in to accompany her home run.
