Kentucky Gets No-Hit Against Virginia Tech In Midweek Matchup

Kentucky softball did not record a hit against Virginia Tech on Wednesday, losing 2-0. This was the first time all season the Wildcats were shut out. Troubles At The Plate

In their first midweek game of the season, Kentucky was stifled by No. 16 Virginia Tech. The Wildcats had no hits, and frankly, very little contact with the ball.

It took until the sixth inning with two outs for Kentucky to get a base runner in this game. The Wildcats struggled mightily against star pitcher Emma Lemley for Virginia Tech, who pitched all seven innings and totaled nine strikeouts for the day.
