Huge pick-up to say the least.

I've read that he may be a little under-ranked because of his size. Which immediately leads me to think about Tyler Ulis. (Though Green is taller than Ulis.)

I've seen that too, but he's 6'1", right? That isn't short.

I think they may be talking more about slightness of build with Green than height.

And just having seen him on video I think 6'1" may be stretching it a tad. He's a thin, relatively small guy.

As long as he's more Tyler Ulis than Ryan Harrow, I won't complain.

I don't think he's Harrow. Guy is reportedly a killer. State champ in New York as a junior = not easy to do.

And the most amazing thing about Green is that Cal lets Syracuse sit on him for more than two calendar years. He's been a lock to 'Cuse since like summer 2015. Then Cal realizes Trae Young might never make up his mind so he jumps to Green. Green watches a UK game in person in MSG. Boom. Green to UK and Syracuse fans lose their minds.

              The master at work.

I was sifting through a Syracuse board and found this from a guy who seems to be one of their "in-the-know" members:

"He was going to Syracuse. This was done. Guys, he committed to us. I tried to say that without saying it. He was all set to come here. And then things changed."

Syracuse people and northeast basketball folks in general are taking this really hard.

The Syracuse beat writer Mike Walters is on Twitter this morning having a (mostly polite) back and forth with UK fans. He's showing a little dismay at how Cal gets players who would have been in the NBA regardless. Syracuse is a great university with a strong basketball tradition. But it's still coached by a stodgy, ill-tempered coach who's the opposite of Cal personalty-wise. I think it's pretty easy to see what the draw is if you're a recruit.

Good time to mention that I love northeast ball players. I'm always happy when we have a chance to add a kid from anywhere near New York. It's an automatic shot of grit to the whole team.

For the record Green goes to Neumann-Goretti High School in Philadelphia. I misspoke above.

                          Your point still definitely applies.

From what I've read, the thing about Green...he's a pass first PG. What the clip above didn't show is how well this guy passes and distributes. He's a "force multiplier" and that's why guys, like Bamba and Diallo, like playing with him. I suspect when the dust settles this spring, we're gonna have one heck of a class.....again.
