I can see Johnson going elsewhere if Diallo returns but how does Knox affect Johnson either way? They play different positions...kinda like saying Anthony Davis wouldn't come to UK because MKG was. I don't understand.

Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb played awful well together.

I'm not so sure Johnson wouldn't come here because Knox plays his position (because he doesn't) but Knox is just another player to run the offense through. The team might just not have enough touches available for him. I think if Diallo returns he goes elsewhere for certain.

That's entirely different. Knight had the ball in his hands as the PG and Lamb was the best shooter on the team. Knox and Johnson would both play off the ball. I think Knox and Johnson could both play here and play together but I really think Johnson will wait on Diallo.

I'll agree that he'll wait on Diallo decision but I just can't see where Knox would affect his decision one way or the other. We've had multiple scoring guys playing at the same time before and it can work again is all I'm saying. We still NEED Johnson and Bamba!! Come on to Lex guys and enjoy the ride for a year then collect your millions!! Lol

Johnson is a grad transfer with two years of eligibility left. He's available immediately. I also believe Johnson is more tied to Diallo's decision...but with Knox added, we're probably 2nd on his list behind Arizona now.

I think when you're as young as we're going to be, you do need one or two of the remaining targets. Our best teams have had a guy like Bamba around the rim to clean up freshman mistakes, and on the whole I think it's necessary to have extra (capable) pieces to step in when some of those young fellas have an off night. And in Johnson's case, you get the veteran aspect, which we most definitely need.

If Nick Richards is the starting center for this team next season it's going nowhere. IMO.

Richards is going to be a fine player. Potentially great defender. But he's not ready to be the starting center of a Final Four-caliber team. Very raw.

Team needs Bamba badly or it's going to have a real hard time beating good teams.

I'll tone it down a bit and say, we could sure use Johnson and Bamba next year to be dominate. Also keep in mind, with a roster that's loaded like this one could possibly be then there is a slight chance a couple of these guys "might" stick around for their sophomore year. I agree that we need Bamba down low to clean things up and it would be nice to have the experience of Johnson and his shooting.
