John Petty

Sounds like John Petty, a SG/SF from AL in the 2017 class, could commit to Kentucky pretty soon. He's ranked pretty high at the moment, but he also seems to have some pretty noticeable holes in his game. No long range shot to speak of, and the part of his offense that does work seems to be pretty one-dimensional.

Appears to bring some good things to the table too, though, and by all accounts he really wants to play for Kentucky.

Know nothing about him or hardly anyone else in the 2017 class.

Petty was named Alabama's Mr. Basketball as a junior. Top 20 player. Obviously going to need that position as there's no chance Malik Monk returns for his sophomore year. So in that way it seems like it good start to the class if Cal can grab him.
