Thon Maker - RECLASSIFYING to 2015

Thon Maker is the player I want the most from any upcoming class (as of now, anyway). He visited today, and it looks like things went well.

Thon has announced he is reclassifying to 2015. Going to visit UK. Cats and KU considered the leaders.

When I saw this yesterday afternoon it excited me far more than the NFL Championship games going on yesterday. I think Cal is in really good position with Thon Maker and if we can snag him it is HUGE. If we might be able to pull him and either Jaylen Brown or Malik Newman to go along with Skal, Briscoe and Matthews....Holy Cow! In my opinion that takes next years recruiting class close to the 2012 level with Davis, Gilchrist, and Teague. If we can land Maker that also opens the door later for his younger brother who is pretty dang good in his own right.

At one point last fall it was talked about that he may go play overseas, but in the last month it seems he is pretty set on playing a year of College ball, now we just have to hope it's for UK!

In December he is quoted as saying this "“No. Not at all,” Maker said when asked if playing overseas for one season was an appealing option."
