I've never quite understood the process of setting precedent and then another judge saying no, no. Who overrides who and why? I need to go back to 8th-grade social studies, maybe.

In this case however, I don't blame the judges. When I first heard that the NCAA was not going to allow the class of 22 an additional year, I just knew that they would be sued. In that case why didn't they allow the 22 class to be given the extra year? Surely they should have expected to be sued. Was it that important to exclude them? Were they sure they would win? Seems like the answer to both questions is no.

True but do you need a cut off? It would seem 5 years back to be the most logical if you were going to set one.

Further more if the court allows NBA G-League players to return to college do they get a 5th year after playing minor league basketball against other pros for 5-6 years? I dunno, seems a weird situation that the NVAA and the courts have created.

who knows, college athletics may become a farm system for professional sports. We have already seen amaturism go away except at the HS level and that will be next
