    Probably not.

I think Kentucky will be okay either way...but clearly Bolden would be nice as he'd fireproof us against Humphries and/or Wynyard having to improve so dramatically that they're going to be at least in the rotation.

But with these freshmen big men you never know. Most of them ain't Towns or Cousins. We get a little too pumped when we see FIVE STARS out beside their names. Body-wise Bolden looks great. You just never know what you're going to get with these 18-year-old bigs. Guards/wings are much easier to get a handle on.

And it could be if Bolden has moved to Duke that he or his camp feel like Skal may be back. I'm in the minority but I still think Skal could be a fantastic college player. Obviously he has a hellaciously long way to go, but if you could bottle those eight to ten good games he had this year and make him consistent, he could be a dynamic player.
Maybe Skal comes back* and we get the Turk. Add Bam and Killeya-Jones, and help Humphries along over the summer, and you've got a decent front court.

247's Crystal Ball now has it 50/50 for UK and Duke after several recent picks changed from UK to Duke.

We've all seen this song and dance before. A player is projected to be almost all UK, then when decision time gets close experts start hearing conflicting things. The smokescreen and conflicting chatter becomes rampant. Most of the time nobody really "knows" anything until nearly the time for the announcement.

We'll all see what happens soon. UK remains the favorite for Bolden, and I'm hoping and thinking he'll be a Cat.

As I've said, if Briscoe returns and we get Bolden all the pieces are in place for a special special season upcoming.

In a Twitter exchange with our old friend crazzed, Jerry Meyer says that he has received some pro-Duke information today w/r/t Bolden which led to the earlier tweet. Crazzed pushes him on whether or not he's changing his pick to Duke, and he responds by saying, "I'm teetering."

I hope you are right, but we are once again leaning on this kids "rating" and just automatically saying he is going to come in and be a stud......just like we did Skal. It all depends on how hard a few guys work this summer but Isaac, Tai, and Lee will all be competing for the spot, and of course Bam. I'm not saying there isn't PT there for the taking, but I can see him getting more PT at Duke.

This is all just my own opinion, you never know how much a kid wants to compete and get better or if they want to come in and feel entitled that they have earned something already. We all know that if Cal has options, you are on a short leash, and next year he will have some options.

Duke probably needs Grayson Allen to stay in school to be the preseason #1. If Bolden comes on that is a STACKED frontcourt, but without Allen the guardplay will be interesting.

I tend to think that Kennard is going to have a huge sophomore year but he's not a guy who can one-man-show things. Needs some help out front.

Why would Thornton transfer? Didn't he reclassify early just to go to Duke?

If Bolden chooses Duke it'll be interesting to see what happens with Chase Jeter. He got recruited right over if it turns out that way.
