Absolutely. A kid about to be very wealthy telling the world his preference is to be at KU but if they’re not the highest bidder he’ll go elsewhere is right in line with his rep.

I'm not sure this kids talents outweigh his ego and problems that may come along with him, can easily see him not having things go his way and collecting his money and shutting it down to prepare for the NBA draft.

I'm not saying he's not talented, but he's no Lebron walking through the door like he thinks he is.

Probably the only thing that is going to help us is if we outbid KU. The Jayhawks are his first choice.

KSR stating Jason Hart was the lead guy on Stokes. Now he is heading to SMU. Wonder if that was the last bit of anything that UKhad to try and get the guy here. I think it was a very long shot. Not expecting anything from any top Seniors left in high school to come to UK. We will fill the roster with either Portal, DLeague or european player. Just cannot see us making large strides in high school this year.

I still say Hart hadn't proven he could recruit anyone had he? It seems all everyone said was that Jason Crowe Jr. was a lock for UK, mostly because of Hart, and then he chose Mizzou.

I'm not saying Hart won't effect Stokes decision, but it sure seems he is just going to go to whoever opens up there checkbook the most.

Coach Self announced he's going to continue to coach. This very well may cost us a chance at Stokes.

If.Stokes is waiting.on Selfs decision, then it's obvious to me that Kansas is where he wants to go. Had Self retired then.it became all about who threw the most money at him.
he's tremendously talented but he may be a cancer considering past issues.plus playing out his commitment for so long.

At this juncture in Stokes' recruitment, his decision will likely not be based on the money. He'll get a bundle regardless of his decision. It's now down to Pope vs. Self as to which program offers Stokes the best opportunity to "shine". With Pope's mediocre (by UK's standard) record at UK, his recent assistant coach turnover, and inability to "close" on the best-of-the-best, I give Pope only a 20% chance to pulling in Stokes. How am I wrong?
