Landing a top ten 5 star guard should silence any remaining critics when it comes to this staff's ability to recruit high end high school talent. Combing a couple of these HS studs with the solid 4 year players and transfers Pope's been bringing in is the recipe we need for cooking up championships. -
Someone had said that the west coast schools had not recruited him that hard. Guess they knew he was coming to UK because of Hart.Leave a comment:

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that Pope has a pretty good handle on the west coast pipeline, considering how much time he spent recruiting out there during his stints in Utah.
More importantly IMO it would give coach Pope a chance to show UK isn't the place west coast players go to disappear. Cal had a real problem with that and as long as Hart is on the staff we should have a chance at the best from the west. Also getting him committed might get players that want to play with him more interested in UK.👍 2Leave a comment:

I was coming into say this. Hart's been on this kid for a long time. Gotta think it's UK.
I like getting kids locked in early. Takes some pressure off, and will make it easier to work the portal next off-season.Leave a comment:

He’s a very strong UK lean. The Hart connection will be difficult for anyone else to overcome.🥰 2Leave a comment:

I think most of you are correct in saying it looks like UK. We won't have long to wait and see.👍 4Leave a comment:

I do we just don't need 8 to 10 of them 2 to 3 with portals .Thankfully, I don't really care where one and done high school kids commit anymore. After 15 years we finally have a coach that won't load the roster up every year with those types....and I've gotta say, it's kinda nice to watch guys in their early twenties playing basketball for Kentucky again.
Besides, we don't have as many seniors or guys that are guaranteed to leave after this year, so who knows how many roster spots will even be available. Crazy as it may sound to some, I'm more excited about the transfer portal than I am high school recruiting these days.
