Unfortunately over the last 24 hours I haven't seen anything that would suggest Kentucky is going to be the call tonight. Almost all the info and speculation is leaning Oregon's way.

Tough class.
I guess we had better start talking crazzed off the ledge after tonight.

I doubt he's ready to jump. Crazzed's propensity for pessimism probably had him better prepared for bad news than any of us. It's more likely that he'll be waving us over to empty stools at the bar.

The only thing about it is that Kentucky signed these two top ten players. Basketball is a sport where a couple of players can make an enormous difference.
It wasn't that long ago that we were stressing over players like Tyrone Nash. This year, as tough as the last two months have been, we still have the overall #1--something Calipari hasn't done since he's been at Kentucky.
It's going to be tough, no question. So much has to go right. But there's enough there to have at least some hope.
From Sonny Bairros, the guy who originally called Murray to Oregon, comes this.
He's still picking Oregon, but there's something disturbing about that article. It sounds like Bairros is sort of opening up the possibility that Murray could pick Kentucky and then he could in turn blame Murray's father.
We're not going to beat what I sense is a nearly national sentiment as seen in the last two "paragraphs" of that article. I wanted to quote it but apparently Canada has blocked that as well.
Cal should have taken a picture of Magloire with the UK Flag draped across his mascot destroying arms.
Kentucky has lost out on several targets this 2015 class. It took a heroic MVP performance at Nike Hoops Summit to make the Cats show some sense of urgency chasing Murray and making him their primary recruiting target.
Ask yourself this, would you rather help Lebron James win another ring or would you with friends want to deliver a city their first championship in franchise history?
Go to Kentucky win a championship and be another name on a long list of produced pros? Or go to Oregon and attempt to be a legend if the Ducks can make their first Final Four in 75 years. Either way Jamal Murrays destination will be the National Basketball Association.
Quack, Quack, Quack, just wait on it…

My hopes are at about 5% that he picks UK. I just think we got in too late with this kid and from everything you read it's not really his decision anyways, it's his father. Which is sad because these kids have enough pressure on them, I can't imagine how awful it would be to have a parent trying to make decisions for you. I would argue until I'm blue in the face that Murray would help his draft stock more if he came to UK than Oregon, just because there is NO exposure of that basketball team. So if that's what his dad's goal is for him, the UK is the smarter pick.

LOL.
One thing's for sure: that guy is probably going to have to change his Twitter handle if Murray picks UK. It's gonna get fugly.
If he goes to Oregon, which I think he does, it will be the final kick in the grundies for Cal this year and he has had a few.
Yeah...I know...he is still king of recruiting and we have a top 3 class...yada, yada, yada. However, he has lost some battles he is used to winning. No doubting it and it makes you scratch your head.
As for next year. I think we will be a good team. But we will not be a contender if the 4 unknowns don't happen.
1, Poythress returns good as new
2. Lee learns to produce offensively. Learns to hit shots. Learns to hit FTs.
3. Willis becomes something more than a scrub who plays meaningless minutes during blowouts. He HAS to contribute. Major unknown and I am skeptical.
4. Hawkins has to contribute. We know he has the tools.
This will be a different kind of team for Cal to be sure. But without that extra contributor like Murray, it will be tough, IMO. I think we will be a top 20 team but if we do not get the 4 things I mentioned, we could be a bubble team. Just my opinion.
So much changes if Murray throws a wrench in the works and picks UK. That would be huge for us, IMO.
