From what I've watched he's Aaron Harrison but with more athleticism.

He must be underrated then. I don't see how you could be much more athletic than Aaron. Aaron is actually pretty freakish but his handles just aren't no where close to where they need to be in my opinion......

So let me guess, the junior college player is going to step in and take minutes away from two guys that have experience, know the system, and can actually play basketball??? This is good for depth but if Cal goes back to his 6 to 7 man rotation, does Mulder even get to play or does he sit on the bench?????

WE NEED BIG MEN IN THE PAINT PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaron Harrison is a freakish athlete? In what aspects? It certainly wasn't speed of quickness.

He may not be a freakish athlete by NBA standards; but he is by any other measure. To be that big and able to move and jump like that...

You guys act like he is Wiltjer...

Aaron Harrison isn't very athletic at all. Strong, crafty, but not athletic.

Mulder comes in with a reputation of being able to shoot the basketball, which we're going to desperately need. Hard to imagine a JUCO being plugged in and making that much of a difference though. Would be highly unusual.

                You always need shooters.

We could see a Murray/Mulder finish to this class. Cal may be able to go out and land a body at the 4/5, but except for Diallo there's just nothing there with big guys. You can't make a kid come if he doesn't want to come.

Murray probably puts Kentucky in a good position if he's as good as he was at the Hoop Summit. Cal will have to be creative with the interior rotations but Murray was in that game. The Ulis/Briscoe/Murray/Poythress/Skal line-up is solid if these guys are as good as their reputations.

Exactly,, you don't grab a pass in mid air and **************** it back with a monster slam if your not athletic.

                    True.

Aaron certainly isn't explosive. Saw a pro scout once say of the Harrisons that they play with very little "juice" in their game. They were always used to bullying people. Andrew could be explosive but only in spurts.

They definitely don't have the kind of uncanny speed and agility you see in many NBA players. I think they both get a shot though.

Doing that once in two years doesnt make you a freakish athlete. He is 6'5 with an average vertical and average lateral speed. Show me one 6'5 division I wing or guard who cant catch a one handed wide open alley oop. Even go back and watch his high school highlights. Most freakish athlete's high school highlights are similar to John Wall's, Harry Giles', Aaron Gordon's, etc. They show a bunch of clips of dunks with the occasional jumper mixed in. Aaron Harrison's high school highlight film I watched was over six minutes and had about eight dunks in there, half of which being on a fast break with no one around. He is no more athletic than any other 6'5 player in the NBA, but less athletic than quite a few.

I think they will be okay but Aaron has to get a grip on his handling and driving abilities in my opinion.

It never hurts to have another depth player who can shoot. I dont expect major contributions from him, but he can shoot the ball and keep the defense honest. Sometimes that is all you need.
