    King of the Bluegrass

Just watched a nice semifinal game between Lyon Co and Great Crossing. Lot of talent on the floor. Selfishly I'd love to see Travis Perry wind up at UK. His dad's a childhood friend and college roommate. Travis is tough as nails and can really score. Great kid.

Speaking of Great, Great Crossing is really good at basketball. The sophomore Malachi Moreno could be a special one. Very skilled for his position.

I'm gonna go ahead and predict Great Crossing will be state champions this year.

This feels like it might not be a recruiting topic, but I don't know where else to put it. I'm new here.

Nice slate of afternoon basketball today, for those of you with nothing to do and with an nfhs account. Should be an excellent final between Great Crossing and Warren Central.

I should watch more teams before I make a state championship prediction. Warren Central is really good.

I always had 2 passes to the KBG to grade officials, but gave them up this year because Lloyd "Pinkie" Gardner embarrassed me for his last time last year. Great tournament, Greatest Hospitality Room in the state, and then there's the director.

I'm unfamiliar with anyone associated with Fairdale or this tournament. Sounds like whatever it was wasn't good, though, you seem so patient I can't imagine what someone must have done to make you stop going.

Long story. I would have loved to be there with you, just to meet you and enjoy HS basketball. I still grade officials, so if there's ever a game you want to see here in Louisville, let me know and I'll try my best to meet you. Where are you in Western Kentucky?

I actually just watched on NFHS. I'm in Crittenden Co in far-ish western KY. Right next to Lyon Co, who's got a pretty good team this year. But absolutely, if I ever make it up that way to a game, I'll let you know!

I grew up in Hopkins County and graduated from Hanson HS, now consolidated into Madisonville-North Hopkins.
