Huggins wasn't happy with the Tshiebwe transfer, suggests "outside influences" may have been to blame.

As with any top recruit, unfortunately "outside influences" run the show. Does make you have some sympathy for these kids when they have so much pressure being put on them by friends, family, businessmen, etc.

I just can't imaging that Cal didn't get the scoop on this kid from Huggins, unless they aren't as good as friends as they lead on to be.

Everything I've read suggests that Oscar's commitment to WVU was more a result of "outside influences" than his decision to transfer. By all accounts, he wanted to come to Kentucky the first time around but was forced into going to WVU. His recent mediocre play and enthusiasm has been interpreted as him protesting, basically. He has hated it at WVU and finally decided he wanted out. The handlers who were there for his first recruitment are no longer in his group, and he had much more say in his decision this time around.

There is speculation that other schools did tamper along the way once word got out that he was unhappy, but the consensus is that UK did not tamper and benefited from being his first love.

Great news for us if that is all true.
