    Terrence Clarke Commits to UK!!!

Currently ranked #3 prospect in class of 2021, expected to reclassify to 2020. Elite prospect regardless of class and just the shot in the arm we needed.

6'-6 or 7" and 185 lbs. Projects as a SG or SF at college level.

Someone help me out. In the past 10 years, what UK players reclassified to join UK rather than play their senior year of high school ball? I ask that to determine how many "reclassifiers" have actually contributed in a significant way as freshmen at UK. Hagans, for example, could probably have used one more year of HS basketball, rather than joining UK early. No doubt he will excel at UK, but he certainly didn't last year.

Jamal Murray is the best we've had.

But to your point, Ashton Hagans definitely contributed in a significant way. I watched him tear up Coby White early in the season. Had a tough second half but he definitely contributed in a significant way.

Hami Diallo was one of the only others I can remember, but that was a weird situation where he simply graduated early and then started practicing with UK.

Elsewhere there have been some huge reclassifiers who have been elite talents. R.J. Barrett and Marvin Bagley are the main two. I've a friend who's a Western Kentucky fan, and he raved about Charles Bassey all last year. Bassey was a reclassifier.

One thing to remember about these kids is that they're the same age as normal freshmen. When they go to these elite schools they hold back. Hagans turned 20 years old this summer. These guys are way more mature than the label "freshmen" suggests.

Good point. Hadn't thought of that.
