G league led by Shareef Abdur Rahim and Jaylen Brown about to change the landscape of college basketball forever. This is the wave of the future and college teams will be lucky to ever see great players like AD, ZION, etc. ever step foot on a college court again. I know Cal loves Kentucky but i just can't see him sticking around to coach mediocre players the rest of his career, he wants to coach the best and the G League 125k minimum is going to make it very tough especially if a players doesn't have to deal with college classes rules and all that, why would you go to college and play for free?

NCAA has a problem on its hands with the G league and overseas wrecking college basketball.

If it didn’t mean UK was gonna get wrecked in the process, I’d cheer it on. Maybe I still might.

Sounds like UK knew what was up.

Yeah they're missing a cool experience. But at least they are the elite players with bright days ahead. Unlike the non-elite players who are suddenly done without their shot at glory. Still sucks though.

Congrats to Devin Askew for Jordan Brand Classic selection! And for scoring 43 points in play-off semi-finals...I see a collision course Cat (Askew) vs Cat (Boston) for SoCal Championship

If I were his folks I would say "that's ok use this as fuel..." I really do hope it doesn't bother him because that was one reason why he was weighing staying with his 2021 class; he really thought he would get the McDonalds nod, he really wanted to play in that game. Jordan Classic will bring him in for their showcase...someone got snubbed last year (or was it 2018?) but I can't remember who it was but the Jordan brand made sure to include the student.

Fyi for those who don't know: Check out ESPN 3 for upcoming HS games (to set yourself a reminder to watch) and you can find previous games in demand.
Some games are on ESPNU and ESPN2 but you can find a lot more games on ESPN 3 (Montverde Academy, La Lumier, Oak Hill, Prolific Prep, IMG, Paul VI, DeMatha etc.).
I'm sure Sierra Canyon and Mater Dei will meet up (Centennial-Corona may de-rail the match-up for one of these two teams tho) in the SoCal semi or finals and that game will definitely be televised.

I'm a HS and AAU (EYBL specific) junkie so I follow a lot of the Top 50 kids journeys over the high school years until it's time to pick college.

Corey Evans says that the UK visit probably didn't change UK's situation with Greg Brown. He thinks Brown will still pick Memphis or Texas.

Brown's an interesting player. There was a time when I actually thought Kentucky had a really good shot at him. I have no idea if we're still really in the mix or not or if this is just one of those courtesy visits.
I think this is one that will change favorites a lot. Memphis has the buzz now, as Corey Evans changed his pick from TX to Memphis. But that will probably change. I think this one will go into spring.
