I guess he has an offer from Cal? There are no rankings on him on ESPN, Rivals, Scout or 24/7

Interesting situation, not a lot of information out there about him, but it sure sounds like he could have a UK scholarship if he wanted one. He must be a heck of a player for Cal to offer him because the other 2016 kids that have offers are STUDS!

This is a strange recruitment. Cannot believe they have offered this kid unless he is spectacular. Like GOCAT said, there are kids like Swanagan and Rabb available so maybe Cal doesn't feel so good about these guys..Gotta trust the staff.

Cal and his staff are usually right on with their offers. Watching this on close.

Could that be because he's been playing in New Zealand?

Yeah, definitely could be. However, the top foreign prospects do get ranked on those sites.

Wynyard's a Cat, but I have absolutely no idea what this means. I haven't known so little about a recruit since the Tubby days.

                      Really weird.

But big-time basketball is played in that part of the world.

Fran Fraschilla is on Twitter talking about him a little. Says that as a 16-year-old he almost made the New Zealand national team.

Compares him to Enes Kanter, but says he's less polished. Younger than Kanter was when he came to Kentucky.

Rivals has it as a done deal. He's 6' 9" and 230 lbs.
