Trevon Duval to Duke?

Saw that Trevon Duval might be nearing a commitment to Duke. My question is, how in the world can Duke justify admitting that kid, given the canyon-sized margin between his and their academic standards? I realize this stuff happens on the regular, but this one seems unfathomable.

Four high schools in four years? Can't pass Algebra I? Can someone tell me how Duke or anyone else pulls this off?

If you want the best, you accommodate for a lack of academic prowess. I was at Duke for work once and had a student there tell me that he had class with Shelden Williams and working on a class project with him was, "Like talking to a retarded child."

No way they can realistically justify it. But if he is one and done he is only looking at going to class until basketball season is over with. Similar to what Ben Simmons did. But it is Duke so who knows how they will spin it.
