Really disappointing. You just hope it's something that he can get back from by the time they start individual workouts at UK. To me Vanderbilt looks like the guy most ready to contribute at a high level of the incoming freshmen.
When I saw him go down my heart stopped. Thought it was his knee. -
He should be able to recover from an ankle injury before it's time to buckle down at UK, but this still worries me. His pattern of injury apparently shows no signs of slowing down. Hopefully a good doctor and/or UK's staff can help him condition and train in ways that will prevent future issues.Last edited by George; 04-15-2017, 09:59 AM.Comment

Cal updated and said he should be back to 100% in a few weeks. Kind of weird that it was such a mystery and now it turns out to not be as serious as we feared. Which is good because no one on this team has more potential than Vanderbilt. He may not start at first, but its going to be really hard to keep him out of the starting line up by mid-year IMO. Hes a poor mans Lebron. His dribbling and passing ability for someone who is 6'9" is unlike anything we've had under Cal. And his jump shot, which may have been his only glaring weakness, is vastly improved from a year ago.
Kid is going to be special and is the X-Factor for how far this team can go (along with Richards and SKJ).Comment
