    Antonio Blakeney to decide Friday

Would be a huge get for Cal. Deciding between UK, LSU, and Mizzou.

I am told UK will not be his choice and he will head to LSU with Ben Simmons.

Will put LSU in the top 1 or 2 in recruiting for 2015 and possibly make them a favorite in the SEC next year.

Would be an insane combo if they land him. Good for the SEC.

Would rather have Newman, hopefully Cal can land him!!

I agree that all signs point to LSU, and that is going to be one heck of a combo for next year. Glad to see no matter what he is picking an SEC team though. Really surprised that being a Florida kid that he doesn't even have UF in his top 3.

Even if it is LSU, not sure how that makes them a favorite for the SEC next year. Especially when we arent even half way through the season and we have no idea who is coming back next year and who else will commit.

I don't know if he really meant they would end up being a favorite after it's all said and done , but they will definitely be at the upper tier, unless Cal really strikes out on every other recruit and we lose 7-8 guys to the nba, we should still be the favorite next season.

I know very little about Blakeney, but a poster I like on another board is hoping Kentucky doesn't get him. Says he's not an elite player. (He said the same thing about Briscoe, BTW.)

According to this guy Newman is the only game-changing guard in the field, and that Kentucky should put all its resources on him and hope that we don't get anyone who might scare him away until he commits.

I agree that Blakeney doesn't appear to be a game changer, but it's one of those deals where it's hard to pass up on a commit, even though I don't think we need to worry about it because it seems LSU is gonna get him. But I do think Briscoe is a good player and was excited to get him, and I just hope we don't have any eligibilty issues with Skal.

There is no doubt that Malik Newman and Jaylen Brown are the two stud guards, but they are both gonna be tough gets. This is going to be an interesting spring, a lot of top talent is gonna wait, which is a good sign for us, because who knows who's gonna stay and who's gonna leave.

I really hope Booker stays, and doesn't go in the second round, but what's going to be interesting is that there is a lot of chatter that as of today, either Harrison would even get drafted. I know a lot can change, but I just don't see them coming back, no matter what.

You dont think the twins come back if they are told they arent getting drafted? What would they do? Go overseas? It seems their parents arent hurting for money so if they arent getting drafted they will be back, IMO.

Well if Cal likes him....I seem to recall how this current crop was hailed as ALL 4-YEAR players and are now looked at as one of his very best classes ever. Amusing.

I'm just not sure if their ego can handle it. I really think they are 4 year players, but i'm not sure they can accept that. I really don't know what they will do, that's just my gut feeling.

Does U of L now accuse LSU of cheating them out of players?

If we get Newman, nobody will remember Blakeney's name. If not, could be a big miss.

@ESPNStatsInfo: Before this season, LSU had only landed 1 top-25 recruit in 8-yr history of ESPN 100. With Antonio Blakeney, LSU has 2 of top 14 this year.

From what I have been reading Newman is better fit for us
