Kentucky triumphs against Georgia, 84-55, following two straight losses

You wouldn’t know Kentucky Women’s Basketball lost two games in a row for the first time this season based on the way the ‘Cats played against the Georgia Bulldogs. On Sunday, Kentucky got back on track after falling to Ole Miss and No. 3 Texas, with a xx-xx win over Georgia at Memorial Coliseum.

While Georgia’s Trinity Turner put points on the scoreboard first, Kentucky’s offense went full throttle. The ‘Cats quickly forced a Georgia timeout after a 7-0 run in the first quarter. There was no slowing down from there. Amelia Hassett opened for Kentucky with a three-pointer, already scoring more points than she did in those two games against Ole Miss and Texas. She finished the first quarter 3-3 from the perimeter with nine points. Georgia Amoore finished the first quarter in double-digits with 10, only one point away from one of the biggest milestones of her career.
